A Canceled Bowl Game Won’t Stop The Wolfpack

NC State makes sure Jeremiah has a signing day to remember!

When the Holiday Bowl in San Diego was canceled due to COVID-19, NC State and Team IMPACT hearts were broken. But this spring, the two joined forces to give Jeremiah an even more unforgettable experience.

Jeremiah Gunn, a 9-year-old with Williams Syndrome, became an official member of the North Carolina State football team during half time at the spring football game at Carter-Finely Stadium. Jeremiah left his reserved seat to stand at center field where, in front of the roaring crowd, he signed his letter of intent and received his own custom jersey!

“I’m officially a football player!” Jeremiah announced proudly after the game. His mother shared the enormity of this experience for Jeremiah. “It’s going to be with him for the rest of his life,” she said.

Having a home at NC State as a member of the Wolfpack offers Jeremiah the experience of a lifetime. We can’t wait to follow along with Jeremiah’s journey.
